Linoleum is made largely from natural materials, including linseed oil, wood flour and a jute backing, and gives a durable, low-maintenance floor with strong environmental credentials. We supply and install it in sheet and tile formats, with welded seams where the floor needs to be continuous.

Where it is used

Schools, healthcare settings, offices and public buildings, particularly where a project has sustainability targets.

What we deliver

  • Substrate survey and moisture testing
  • Preparation and smoothing to suit the covering
  • Supply and installation in sheet or tile
  • Welded seams, coving and trims where required

Frequently asked questions

No. Linoleum is made mainly from natural, renewable materials, while vinyl is synthetic. Both are durable resilient floors, but they suit different specifications and are maintained differently.

It suits most everyday areas, but not floors that are regularly wet, such as wet rooms or commercial kitchens. Welded sheet vinyl or safety flooring is used there instead.
